I have chosen Amitabha as the name for my travel company because of my strong Buddhist beliefs and my desire to show others the pure, legendary land of Bhutan. My true aspiration for operating this travel company is to create a spiritual platform and network that will benefit all the travelers spirits that come here, regardless of country, race or religion.
Experience and learn about the blissful realms of Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, beliefs that reflect our inner-selves and the mission behind our spiritual journeys.
Your visit here will benefit those in needs and enable us to fulfill the following aspirations which we deeply believe in:
- To support monks, nuns, and lay practitioners in pursuing their studies in Buddhist philosophy or entering into retreats. This allows them to complete their mediation practice successfully.
- To sponsor orphans, and poor students who show potential in their studies, but are unable to continue their education.
- To support by whatever means, and where possible, in the construction and renovation of Buddhist temples and monasteries, and to aid in funding local religious festivals held annually.
In this effort, Amitabha Bhutan Tours partners with and supports the Charity Foundation, which works comprehensively and compassionately to spread the teachings of the Buddha, especially through the Dudjom New Treasure Lineage. Let us work together by sharing our love with different expressions and through the practice of generosity, morality and understanding the path to enlightenment.

Amitabha Bhutan Tour is based in the capital city of Thimphu, registered under license No: 1021704 with the Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) and with the Association of Bhutanese Tour Operator (ABTO), the only government agency that is responsible for policy framework for the Tourism industry. This council functions as regulatory authority for the tourism industry in Bhutan.
