As required by law, every visitor to Bhutan pays a minimum fee of US$200 per day/night/person. Beside there will be extra daily surcharges for 3 people as a smaller group. The daily surcharge charge for 1 person is US$40/day/person, for 2 people is US$30/day/person and for 3 people is US$20/day/person. It is not really expensive as it sounds compare this rates to other exclusive travel destination. Since this fee includes your entire accommodation in the certify and approved by tourism council of Bhutan, All meals- breakfast, lunch, dinner, light refreshments (e.g. cold drinks, tea, coffee, snacks and drinking water), exclusive comfortable transport along with itinerary, exclusive service of English speaking licensed tour guide, entrance fee to museums/monuments, government royalty and all other internal taxes .
The royalty portion goes to the government exchequer, which in turn mainly supports free medical care, free education and other welfare schemes. All visitors in a way therefore make valuable contribution to the welfare system of the country. Additionally on requirement, we also provide cell phone facility to enable you to keep in touch with your families, friends back home and also contact during your journey within Bhutan. The extra expenses you’ll be responsible once you reach Bhutan are: international airfare to Paro-Bhutan, travel insurance/emergency evacuation charges, alcoholic drinks, personal expenses like laundry, internet etc and optional tip or gratitude. Visa fee and air fare to Paro-Bhutan is not included in our tariff, but it is our pleasure to arrange your entire official procedure like visa, permits, hotel reservation and Druk Air flight ticket and deliver to you.
There are some group discounts for those who wish to organize their own trips. A discount of 50% on daily rates is given to one person in a group of 11 to 15 people, and 100% discount is given to one person in a group of 16.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
Due to limited flight and accommodation in Bhutan, advanced
reservations must be made during the following months. Tour programs
booked and subsequently cancelled are subjected to a cancellation
charge as follows:

DELAYED ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE
There will be no charge for the number of days delay on arrival or
departure due to bad weather conditions, Druk Air problems or
roadblocks during monsoon/winter.
INSURANCE
Amitabha Tour recommends that all our guests should obtain travel
insurance in addition to your normal health insurance. Your travel
insurance should always include coverage for emergency air evacuation.
Many programs are available and it’s best to work with your insurance
agent at home. Amitabha Bhutan Tour will not take any liability for
any kind of illness, injury or death during the tour/trek in Bhutan.
PAYMENT PROCEDURES
As per the Government Tourism regulation, full tour and Druk air
flight ticket payment should be sent to Amitabha Bhutan Tour by bank
transfer, at least 2-3 months in advance prior to the date of arrival.
After receiving the final payment only, your visa and Druk Air ticket
is issued by the Government on receipt of advance payment only.
Once your travel is confirmed, Amitabha Bhutan Tour will provide you a
Bank account number for remitting the payment.
